General Information
Salli Alderson Luxury Travel ("SALT") is an independent travel consultancy and an affiliate of Smartflyer Australia PTY LTD ("Smartflyer"). Smartflyer is accredited by AFTA, IATA, CLIA, and ATAS, ensuring compliance with industry standards. References to SALT include its directors, employees, agents, and, where applicable, Smartflyer. References to "suppliers" denote third-party providers of travel-related services, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, car hire, insurance, and other associated products or services. These terms and conditions govern all bookings made through the SALT and form a binding agreement between you and Smartflyer.
Payment Options
SALT accepts payments via direct deposit and major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and Amex. Payments made via credit card incur a merchant fee of 1.8%. Direct deposit payments may take up to three business days to clear; therefore, clients should ensure payments are made at least three days before the due date to avoid cancellations or associated penalties. In certain cases, suppliers may process credit card payments directly. By providing your credit card details, you authorize SALT to share them with the relevant supplier.
Prices
All prices are subject to availability and may be adjusted without notice due to factors such as currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, taxes, or supplier-driven changes. Pricing is confirmed at the time of payment, and any increases before full payment are the responsibility of the client. While SALT strives to ensure pricing accuracy, adjustments may occur and will be communicated if necessary.
Fees
SALT charges fees for services such as itinerary planning, bookings, amendments, and cancellations in accordance with its fee schedule. These fees are non-refundable and are separate from any charges imposed by suppliers. By instructing the SALT to make arrangements on your behalf, you agree to pay these fees.
Commission
SALT may receive commissions, rebates, or incentives from suppliers related to bookings made on behalf of clients. Such commissions are retained by SALT unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellations and Amendments
Travel arrangements may be non-refundable and non-changeable, depending on the supplier’s policies. If a booking is canceled or amended, fees will apply in accordance with SALT’s fee schedule and any applicable supplier policies. Clients are responsible for understanding supplier cancellation and amendment terms before confirming bookings.
Refunds
Refunds for cancelled travel arrangements will be processed once SALT receives funds from the relevant supplier. Refund processing times can vary depending on the supplier and may take up to 12 weeks. SALT will provide estimated timelines whenever possible.
Schedule Changes
Suppliers, including airlines, may modify schedules at their discretion. While SALT will endeavor to notify clients of any changes, it remains the client’s responsibility to confirm flight details 24 hours before departure. SALT is not liable for disruptions caused by schedule adjustments.
Agency
SALT acts as an intermediary between clients and travel service providers. It does not act as an agent for any supplier and is not liable for issues arising from supplier performance. Any claims or disputes must be addressed directly to the supplier.
Force Majeure
SALT is not liable for any loss or disruption resulting from events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, or other extraordinary circumstances.
No Warranty
SALT provides no warranty or guarantees regarding the suitability or quality of services or products offered by suppliers. If a supplier fails to meet expectations, the client’s remedy lies directly with the supplier.
Accuracy of Information
While SALT takes care to provide accurate and up-to-date information, it cannot guarantee the accuracy of details supplied by third-party providers. Clients should verify all information independently before making decisions based on it.
Passports and Visas
All travelers must possess a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended return date. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure compliance with entry and transit requirements for all destinations, including obtaining visas or permits where necessary. Travellers to the United States must register under the ESTA program, and those holding foreign passports must confirm their ability to return to Australia with valid documentation.
Airport Check-In Times
Clients are advised to check in at least three hours before international departures, 90 minutes before domestic departures. All passengers must present valid and required identification at check-in.
Baggage Allowance
Baggage allowances vary by airline, fare class, and frequent flyer status. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have adequate baggage allowances for their journey and should check with their airline or SALT for confirmation.
Frequent Flyers & Special Requests
Clients should provide frequent flyer numbers and special requests at the time of booking. While efforts will be made to accommodate requests, these cannot be guaranteed. Clients are advised to retain all boarding passes until frequent flyer points are credited.
Travel Documents
Clients should review all travel documents for accuracy, including names, dates, and other details. Lead passengers must ensure all members of their travel party access and verify their travel arrangements promptly.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended at the time of booking. While SALT can assist with obtaining quotes, clients are responsible for ensuring their coverage meets their specific needs. A signed disclaimer may be required if clients choose to decline travel insurance.
Health and Vaccination Requirements
Certain destinations may require vaccinations or other medical precautions before entry. Clients are advised to consult a medical professional or travel clinic early in the planning process to ensure compliance with health requirements.
Emergency Disclosure Approval
In the event of a natural disaster or other emergencies, SALT may disclose client details, including contact information and travel itineraries, to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
